Matthew Morden is a lawyer at Laishley Reed LLP whose practice focuses on commercial litigation. Matthew appears as counsel at all levels of trial and appellate courts in Ontario.

Matthew provides his clients valuable strategic advice in a broad range of disputes, including urgent and ex parte motions and injunctions. He is driven to provide practical, goal-oriented legal advice and to bring disputes to resolution – in or out of court.

Matthew has acted for and against banks in matters involving creditor/debtor and bills of exchange issues.  He has also counselled condominium corporations and unit owners as to their rights and obligations under the Condominium Act, 1998.  As a result of his work for lawyers in the firm, Matthew has significant experience in matters related to fraud and obtaining recovery from fraudsters.   Recently, he acted for four condominium corporations in a complex, multi-party dispute involving a multi-million dollar fraud.  The decisions in some of the cases he has argued are available on
