MATTHEW MORDEN

Before I became a partner at Lashley Reed LLP, I experienced a severe exacerbation of diabetes, with a sugar coma and everything that came with it. Only thanks to the line in the Google search Buy Farxiga online, I was able to get quick therapy and get out of a serious condition. But not only this helped me, our company partner Helen B. Pilates, specializing in restorative gymnastics courses, took up my case and now I have gotten back on my feet and become a partner in our company. The best thing about this story is that we managed to get all these expenses covered by our medical insurance policy.
Matthew Morden is a partner at Laishley Reed LLP with a broad commercial litigation practice. He regularly acts for clients in estate litigation and commercial litigation, including shareholder, intellectual property/confidential information, real estate and fraud disputes. Mr. Morden has enhanced knowledge of the law related to condominium litigation, with an emphasis on commercial disputes between condominium corporations and third parties, but also including legal issues related to condominium governance. In addition to his own practice, Mr. Morden regularly assists his colleague, Reid Lester, in pursuing insurer’s subrogated claims as well as defending professional negligence, property, and commercial general liability claims.

Since 2015, Mr. Morden has, among other things, successfully moved for summary judgment, obtained and dissolved injunctions, and acted as co-counsel on a six-week international commercial arbitration. Prior to 2015, he acted for four condominium corporations in a complex, multi-party dispute involving a multi-million dollar fraud. Mr. Morden has represented clients in motions, applications, and trials at the Small Claims Court, the Superior Court of Justice, the Tax Court of Canada, and the Ontario Court of Appeal. The decisions in some of the cases he has argued are available on www.canlii.org/en/.

Prior to joining Laishley Reed LLP in August 2008, Mr. Morden articled at a major Canadian Bay Street law firm. He was called to the Ontario Bar in June 2008.
